CONDITIONS OF HIRE:
This is a community building and all users share responsibility for its care.
  •  The Kitchen is shared by the two rooms.  It has the following equipment:
    • Crockery, glasses and cutlery for 100 people – but no cooking pots and pans.  Hirers using the kitchen to prepare hot food etc need to bring their own equipment.
    • Gas/electric cooker with six burners;  microwave oven; refrigerator and small freezer.
    • Kettles and a water heater plumbed in over the small sink.  Dishwasher.  Instructions for use will be found in the kitchen drawer.
  • The kitchen should be left clean and tidy for the next users with all crockery and cutlery washed up and put away in the correct drawers or cupboards.
  • Kettles should be emptied before you leave and the water heater must be switched off.
  • Tables and chairs are available in both rooms.
  • The stage curtains can only be operated from the stage.  There is a curtain wheel between the emergency door and a vertical ladder. 
  • There are roller blinds on the hall windows.  Close them by pulling the beaded strings on the right-hand side of each window.
  • The Pinney Room blinds and projection screen have beaded strings at the right-and side of the window.  Please use gently.  The vertical slat blinds can be rotated to increase/decrease light.  Please do not try to pull them across.
  • No animals are permitted inside the building, except assistance dogs.
  • No candles or naked flames are permitted in the building.
  • No tables, chairs or crockery may be taken outside the building, except by prior agreement of the Management Committee.
  • Do not attach notices etc to the walls or the doors by pins, nails or Sellotape. 
  • The fuse box is in the foyer cupboard and there is a torch for emergency use.
  • Please bring your own ladder if you wish to erect bunting and other decorations.
  • Please clear up any spillages immediately.
ACCIDENTS AND EMERGENCIES:
  • There are first aid boxes in the first cupboard on the right in the kitchen, by the door in the Pinney Room and in the corridor.
  • There is an Incident Book in the kitchen  - please write in any faults, accidents and breakages.
  • Please locate the fire exits and fire extinguishers when you arrive and ensure they are kept clear.
  • In case of fire, the Assembly Point is the War Memorial in the Market Square.

CHECK LIST FOR TIDYING UP
  • Hirers are asked to leave the building clean and tidy, ready for the next user.
  • Please replace all tables and chairs after use.
  • Please close the stage curtains using the handle on the stage.
  • Make sure the drop-down screens have been put away and return the controls to the cupboard in the chair store for the main hall, or the drawer in the Pinney Room.
  • Turn off the switch for the hearing loop and loudspeakers and return the microphone to its cupboard in the chair store.
  • Please sweep the floor if necessary.
  • Check that the emergency exit beside the stage is securely closed.
  • Check that the toilets are clean and tidy and no-one is using them before you leave.
  • All rubbish should be removed by the hirer – please bring black plastic bags.
  • Close the outer door when you leave – do not lock it unless you are the last hirer of the day.  There is a list of bookings on the notice board in the foyer and in the kitchen.
 
The Parish Rooms hold a Premises Licence and a Music Licence.  It is the Hirer’s responsibility to abide by the conditions of both licences.
 
The Management Committee reserves its right over lettings, and has the right of entry to the building at all times.

The Management Committee will not be held responsible for any items lost or damaged on the premises.
